Programme Overview

These are short, practical, evening programmes with one purpose: to add a specific employable skill in six months. They exist because two groups kept asking for the same thing — our own degree students who wanted something concrete on their CV before placement season, and working people in Muzaffarnagar who could not leave a job to study full time.

Classes run 6 to 8 PM, Monday to Friday, in the same laboratories the degree programmes use. Assessment is by portfolio and a practical examination rather than a written paper, because employers care what you can build, not what you can recall.

Roughly 45% of enrolments are MIT degree students taking a certificate alongside their course. Several of our best-placed Civil and Mechanical graduates got software or analytics roles precisely this way.

Full-Stack Web Development

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, REST APIs and databases. Ends with three deployed portfolio projects.

How the Programme Runs

Tools, environment setup and core concepts, taught from zero. No prior experience is assumed in any of the six certificates. Weekly practical assignments begin from week two.

Working through progressively larger exercises drawn from real briefs. This is where most of the actual learning happens, and where attendance matters most.

A capstone build plus a practical examination assessed by a faculty member and, where possible, an industry practitioner. Successful candidates receive an institute certificate listing the specific competencies demonstrated.

Outcomes

These certificates are not a job guarantee and we do not present them as one. What we can report: of the 312 people who completed a certificate in 2025, 118 were MIT degree students, and among the 194 external candidates, 71 reported a job change or promotion within twelve months.

Yes, and many students do — classes are timetabled at 6 PM specifically so they do not clash with degree teaching. MIT students receive a 25% concession on the fee. We advise taking it in year three rather than during a heavy examination semester.

It is an institute certificate, not a university degree or a national qualification. Its value comes from the portfolio you build, which is what interviewers actually examine. Treat the certificate as evidence, not as a credential in its own right.

No. Anyone with a class 12 pass may enrol, and roughly 55% of each batch comes from outside the institute — other colleges, local businesses and working professionals. There is no entrance test.

Two intakes per year — July and January. Batches run only if minimum enrolment is met, so register early; the Industrial Automation and AutoCAD batches are the smallest and fill fastest.
