Programme Overview
Muzaffarnagar runs on trade. Sugar mills, paper units, jaggery mandis, cold storage, steel fabrication, transport fleets and a wholesale market that serves four districts — every one of them needs somebody who can keep books, file a return and read a balance sheet. Our B.Com exists to produce that person, and to produce them job-ready rather than merely certified.
The difference from a conventional commerce degree is practical work. Accountancy is taught on real vouchers. GST is taught on the live portal in a sandbox account. Tally and Busy are compulsory lab subjects with a certification examination at the end of year two, and Excel is taught to a level that includes lookups, pivot tables and basic financial modelling.
A parallel CA/CS/CMA foundation track runs for students aiming at professional qualification, and our placement cell maintains a register of chartered accountants in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Delhi who take our students for articleship.

Double-entry from first principles, taught on real vouchers rather than textbook exercises. The Tally lab begins in semester two.

The standard CCSU commerce degree — accounting, law, tax, costing and finance across three years.
B.Com (Computer Applications)
Same core with a heavier computing load: databases, accounting software, e-filing systems and business analytics.
GST & Taxation Practical
Live-portal practice in registration, GSTR-1 and 3B filing, e-way bills and reconciliation, run every Saturday.
Tally & Busy Certification
Two semesters of laboratory work ending in a certification examination that employers in the district actually recognise.
CA / CS / CMA Foundation
Evening coaching for the professional foundation and intermediate examinations, taught by practising professionals.
Articleship Placement
A standing register of chartered accountants in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Delhi-NCR who take our students for articleship.
Careers & Outcomes
Of the 2025 B.Com batch, 58% took employment within six months, 27% continued to M.Com, MBA or a professional qualification, and the remainder entered family businesses or full-time examination preparation. The median starting salary for those employed was ₹2.4 LPA, rising sharply for students who completed the Tally certification and an articleship.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Garg
M.Com, Ph.D. in Accounting and a practising chartered accountant for eleven years before joining teaching. He supervises the GST portal laboratory and personally places students into articleship.
